Cable Car World will return on 9–10 June 2026 with a revised concept, placing a stronger emphasis than ever on the exchange of knowledge, discussion, and networking surrounding urban cable car projects. Going forward, the specialist event will be held as a congress accompanied by an exhibition at the Congress Center of Messe Essen. Cable Car World brings together stakeholders from planning, politics, administration, business and engineering to shape the mobility of tomorrow – collaboratively and across disciplines.
With the move from the exhibition halls to the congress area, the focus shifts decisively towards content and dialogue. At the heart of the event are current challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions – with the aim of advancing concrete cable car projects and fostering interdisciplinary cooperation. The congress will provide in-depth insights into successfully realised projects from around the globe, covering all phases of development – from initial ideas and feasibility studies to construction, implementation and operation. Speakers from across the industry are expected to contribute.
The international congress will be complemented by an exhibition showcasing products, technologies and services across the entire value chain of urban cable car systems. This setting facilitates targeted conversations, raises new partnerships and promotes practical exchange between solution providers and decision-makers. Additionally, a get-together on the first day of the event will offer exhibitors and congress attendees the opportunity to engage in informal discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
